The Systems

Our nodes are Intel Pentium Core2 Duo with MS Windows XP based network with an Intel Pentium Xeon Server and a backup server operating in a Local Area Network (LAN). We also have a Linux based firewall for FTP and secure net surfing. Our systems are protected by Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, thus keeping us away from virus threats.

The Software

We use MS Windows 2003 Server for user/group management and Windows XP in nodes for our operations. We use MS Office 2003 Suite for document generation and editing purposes. For playing voice files we have player software, Express Scribe, which supports foot pedals and keyboard shortcuts for offline clients and we also work on online platforms such as TranscribePlus for online clients. We have a wide range of referencing software, such as Stedman's Online Series of Wordbooks, Webster's Online English Dictionary, and the provision to search information in the Internet using search engines like Google, Alta Vista, and so on.

We have a static IP address enabling us to host our own FTP site, thus easing file transfer operations. All our computers are protected by virus scanners and spy ware protectors to protect confidentiality and corruption of files.

We remain online throughout our workday for contact through different messengers like Skype, Yahoo, MSN. Any other chat platform as needed by our clients can be arranged for within short notice.
